I am Antynomy, a composer of songs, soundtracks, and a lyricist.
I chose the name Antynomy because, to me, it symbolizes the union of opposites. It invites an open and curious view of the world, where we explore different perspectives and understand that there can be multiple truths. This philosophy is what I strive to infuse into my music.
I grew up in the countryside in eastern France, where time stretches gently. From a young age, I loved improvising on instruments found in my environment—my grandfather and his family ran a small café-theater where locals would come to listen to live music and dance. It was also during this time that I began writing poems (very romantic ones back then ^^), that’s where my love for writing was born. What I want to emphasize is that this creative process of improvisation, guided by desire, ear, and emotion, has stayed with me.
Today, I’m creating from Brussels, where I have set up my studio. I love collaborating with other artists, sharing visions, surprising each other, and creating something that goes beyond words.
Achievements
I am honored to collaborate with directors and game creators as the team of Plane Toast studio. I feel very lucky to share the experience of creatives like Lionel Capouillez, who is the sound engineer for Stromae’s albums and concerts, who mixed the track Pensée dérobée (theme for the game Caravan SandWitch). It’s also a privilege to work with Stijn Verdonckt, the sound engineer and founder of Daft Studio, who supported me from my very first track, Because We Are.
I take pride in having supervised, composed, and arranged the music for series such as La Belgique Criminelle and its theme Voices.
I’ve also the joy of working with artists like REW from Washington, musician, sound bank creators (Poetic Devices), with whom I co-composed Mauvaise Réputation. And the salt, meeting Alistair, a New Zealand farmer-philosopher who shares his wisdom through his cherry trees and inspired the poem Les Cerisiers d’Ali. Ultimately, all of them, these human connections form the pulse, the pulse of existence.
